Central Texas Water Safety Coalition

Purposes of Organization -
The Coalition was formed in April of 2001 as an
effort that would combine resources to increase awareness and water
safety education. The
organization has continued to increase membership annually.
In 2002, the group hosted their first water safety event at a
city pool. The Coalition
has conducted various outreach programs and hosted several water
safety awareness events open to the public to promote safety around
the water in Central Texas.
The events all garnered media coverage on local television
and radio stations.
